My Geekness scale is a method by which you can determine the level of difficulty of a project or concepts of a posting. Remember this is only an estimate. It is very difficult to determine what an ‘average’ user has for abilities.
Geekness Scale
- Taking Baby Step- No more than an hour with very basic computer skills and understanding
- Lost My Training Wheels-No more than a few hours with basic computer skills and understanding. You will probably have to learn a few new skills.
- I’m All Growed Up-This is more like a day project with an average understanding of the environment in which you will be working. This will definately be a challenging project or concept for a user who has no previous skills in the give environment.
- Geeked out-You will need to have mastered several skills to do this project. Hardware hacking and Linux skills should be in your repository of skills.
- Supreme Geek-You eat bytes for breakfast.
